Can You Really Throw Away Your Water Filter?

What if I told you there is another state of water that is not solid, liquid, or vapor? This recent discovery is called the 'fourth phase of water' and today we are going to talk about what you can do to charge up your drinking water, take it back to it's natural energetic state, and deliver more energy into your cells... and maybe, throw away your water filter...

A couple of things that I totally forgot to mention…
  • You can structure the water in your own cells simply by grounding/earthing such as standing on the grass with bare feet, going for a swim (why do you think surfers looks so healthy!), walking on the beach or in the forest, or buying an earthing pad for your desk or bed
  • Another simple way to structure your water is to add a squeeze of lemon juice, slices of cucumber, and/or sea salt and give it a good stir

Welcome back to The Nick Broadhurst Show. I’m your host, Nick Broadhurst. You can catch all of my work, including my podcasts, blog posts, music, music videos, everything that I do over at www.iamnickbroadhurst.com, and my social media handle is @IAmNickBroadhurst.

And that song you were listening to is a song called Just Us, which I wrote about my relationship with my wife and you can catch that at iamnickbroadhurst.com/JustUs.

So today we’re going to talk about water; a seriously essential ingredient in our health and happiness. And I have a particularly interesting take on this that I want to present to you today. What if I told you that you could throw away your water filter? That’s a pretty sensational heading, isn’t’ it?

But there is something really interesting which I came across about two years ago, and it sounds kind of crazy but would you believe me if I said that there is a fourth phase of water? So not solid, not liquid, and not vapor, but actually a fourth phase? And about two years ago I came across the work of Dr. Gerald Pollack, and he wrote a book called The Fourth Phase of Water. It’s also called, “E-Z, or E-Z Water,” Exclusion Zone Water. And I also want to bring you something every day which I believe can really help and support your well-being, so I think this is one of those things that’s really worth looking into.

So the fourth phase of water, it’s not H2O, okay, it’s H3O2, and you could probably also call it living water. It’s more viscous, it’s more dense, it’s more alkaline than regular water and it has a negative charge, which means it can hold energy and kind of like a battery, you can also deliver energy to yourselves as well, which is super cool.

So in nature water has to make a journey; like all of us in our life we have to twist and turn around various things to continue our journey and to grow. And water has the same journey; when water melts from a glacier it has to go through rock and tumble and turn over waterfalls and all sorts of things it has to do to make its journey to wherever it’s headed. And you can just go to any natural area, like any sort of bush land, and you can just watch water and it twists and turns and it tumbles over rocks and it goes through dirt, over roots, and this natural twisting, turning, tumbling action actually gives the water itself its own energetic quality; its own structure.

So when you get water out of a tap, that water has a very specific structure to it; a molecular structure which is very grid-like almost like if you imagine like nods and crosses, the grids, sort of looks like that. And in nature water is hexagonal shaped in its molecular structure, okay, which means that hexagonal shape can hold charge, and I believe it’s a negative charge.

And there’s a famous Japanese scientist called Masuru Emoto, I think that’s how you say it. And you probably have seen this already but he became known for doing the experiments on water by pouring love, or hatred into different samples of water, and then observing how the water molecules changed, just by pouring love and hate into the water. And you can also do this with just rice in a jar; you can put rice in a jar and you can write hate on one and love on another and you can pour hatred into one and love into another and you can just see how the one with love will stay fresh, and the one with hatred will go off; it’s pretty incredible.

So his book, a self-published book called Messages From Water, talked a lot about this, and it’s now very, very well known. So what happens with structured water is that when it goes through this twisting and tumbling action, it changes the molecular structure of the compounds found in the water.

Let’s talk about the two nasty’s that we have in our drinking water; and that’s mainly chlorine and fluoride. Now this whole concept totally did my head in at first, like totally couldn’t get my head around it. But I’ve come to accept it a bit more with a bit of faith, but also just with a fair bit of science as well. And if you go to Wikipedia, it will tell you that hexagonal water is a scam. So you’ve got to do your own research, but I believe in presenting you with interesting stuff that you can take a look at and make your own decision, okay?

But let’s look at water; when you test any tap water, you’re testing for either chlorine or fluoride for example, which means you’re testing for a chemical, right? You’re doing a chemistry test basically, so when water is structured, the chemical is still there, but it’s in a different molecular structure.

Now, how do we structure water that comes out of a tap? There’s lots of different ways you can do this, but an easy way is to get a device which is actually called a water structure and I’ll like to this in the show notes at iamnickbroadhurst.com/20. I’ll give you lots of different options, but you can structure the water that comes out of your tap. But if you test that water you are going to find, if you test it from a chemistry perspective, you’re going to find chlorine and fluoride in the water still. So how is that possible, and why is it still good for you?

So if you’re testing for something like carbon for example, diamonds and coal are both carbons, true? And if all you’re doing is testing for carbon then you’ll find carbon in both of those, but that doesn’t mean that they have the same structure. With diamonds and coal you can visibly see very clearly that they both have a very different structure. That’s probably the best example I can give. With structured water and regular water, you don’t necessarily see the difference with your naked eye, except when you put it under high magnification; you can see the grid shape compared to the hexagonal shape.

So what does this mean for us and water filters? Now, for us personally in our household, we have water structuring units on all of our taps and showers, and we always drink through water structuring units. But we also use filters because number one; water structuring does not take away the taste of chlorine for example. What it does is it turns that chlorine into gas, and you can actually blow the chlorine off the water, off the top of the water after you’ve structured it and it will remove that sort of horrible chlorine smell and taste.

But I am convinced about this, and there’s a lot of amazing science, and Gerald Pollack’s book is amazing, and he’s been featured heavily all across the internet and various podcasts as well. But for me personally, I’m still putting my faith in a water filterer and a water structurer. If I can turn my water back into the closest structure to how it is in nature, but I can do that in my home, I’m going to do it, but I’m still going to filter it personally.

But the passionate water structurers out there who believe in this very wholeheartedly no longer use water filters, and that’s a personal decision. But sometimes when Melissa and I are travelling, we always travel with our portable water structurer, and in a bind, if we get stuck, and we want water, I will just put tap water straight through that water structurer.

And believe it or not, the person who actually sold this to me said that he takes it to Bali, and he drinks straight from the tap in Bali, just straight from the tap in Bali, just straight through this water structurer without any filtering, which personally having had Bali belly would scare the crap out of me. But for me personally, I’m definitely still using a water filter, and what water filters do we use?

We have filtration methods basically; we have a triple under-sink water filter for our drinking water which removes a lot of the toxins. I’m not a massive believer in reverse osmosis; I’ve seen so much science against reverse osmosis, even the World Health Organization is not a huge fan of it because it becomes too harsh and it’s too…what’s the word?

Well there is no structure to it; it’s too harsh, there’s no mineral content to it so it can actually be destructive to the body because the body can actually lose minerals by drinking that water. So if you do re-mineralize your reverse osmosis water, then that’s totally fine, but just with water, it’s such an important ingredient in our bodies; highly, highly recommend you do your research big time.

And another key ingredient to creating structured water is light, so if you think of like electromagnetic energy, whether it’s visible light or infrared wavelengths, we’re surrounded by this all the time by the sun, right? So one reason why infrared saunas make you feel so good is because your body cells are deeply penetrated by infrared energy, which builds and stores structured water. The same goes for light therapy and spending time in the sun.

So for me personally, I go a bit above and beyond; I will fill up my two liters of water essentially, and I’ll have a big jar, it will be filtered and structured, and then I put it in front of my infrared sauna in the morning to just give it even more energy and more charge, and look, you know, you don’t have to go that far but I do it because I have all those devices at home.

And in terms of water itself, it’s a very personal thing how you have it. For me personally, I don’t ever drink plain water unless I’m really caught out; I’ll always add minerals because my vita constitution, and I’m going to do a whole series on a-vatic body types this week, which is super exciting. But for my vatic constitution I don’t want plain water; I want minerals in there, so I always add at a minimum quite a good dose of sea salt or Himalayan salt, right?

And other bits and pieces, but plain water for you could be really good. And I tend to try and get my two litres in before lunch, and then after lunch just drink if I’m thirsty basically, so that’s how I know I’m getting enough water. And that changes every single day.

So for me personally, I’m not throwing out my water filters, but we do use a water structurer, and do your research. You might find that this one device can make your life so much easier if you believe it, and you want to use it, then you can get rid of water filters; it’s totally up to you. A lot of people do it, and I think this is really incredible information to dive into, and it can have a huge impact on your health.

And let me know what you think. And as always, all the show notes will be in iamnickbroadhurst.com/20 and in there I’ll list some of the products; the one that we personally use, and I’ll list some of the books that I recommend reading on this topic, and you can also get the full transcript of this show as well at iamnickbroadhurst.com/20.

And as always, I would love it if you could leave me a review in iTunes or your favorite podcast app. And if it feels like a 5 star, please do leave me a 5 star review. As of this date we have almost 100 reviews, 5 star reviews, which is incredible; it’s only a few weeks old so I’m really, really stoked with the level of support we’ve had. It’s been up in the top charts in the health category which is amazing. So thank you so much for your support. And tag me @IAmNickBroadhurst, or use the hashtag #TheNickBroadhurstShow and I’ll definitely respond.

So as always, have a beautiful day, and I love you heaps. Ciao!

    • Hey Nick,

I love your poscast— thank you for finally adding your voice to the wellness world. You’re incredibly knowledgeable and humble with the information you provide.

Okay! I need to ask: and,you may not be the right person to ask this question but your opinion, having used these devices, is valuable. I’ve studied the internal structure of the portable water structuring device: knowing how it works internally, I wonder: could you not gently shake your water bottle in various directions to mimic the motion that occurs within the portable water structuring device? I live in Northern France at the moment, and here the water is quite harsh. In WWII, nutrients were pulled out of the soil to support the soldiers, thus, that water has not been the same. This is what intrigues me to use the device…

      I would love your thoughts.

      • Thank you for saying that :) Yes, you can totally do it other ways… stirring it to make it spiral/vortex, adding lemon juice, adding slices of cucumber, adding sea salt… all these things will help structure it. Even leaving it out in the sun! Super easy.

      • Hey Ella, we use a triple under sink system like this one in combination with a water structurer. Seems to be a good balance between price and water quality.

    • Nick, I am not sure if I got this right. SO you use both a filter and a structurer? what kind of filter do you use?
      Thanks a lot, E

      • Personal preference to be honest. Depends how much you believe in structured water. We use a triple under sink filter that includes fluoride removal up to 99%
