There are some things in life that you just know you have to do. You might call it your purpose. For me, that has been music. But it wasn’t always easy for me.
Growing up I was obsessed with music, and it almost seemed like I was born with a saxophone in my mouth. For some reason, music just came to me so easily. It was effortless, and I firmly believe that it ties back into my past life as a jazz pianist in New York who accompanied the greatest sax player to ever live, Charlie Parker. Now I know that may sound woo woo crazy, but please stay open. After all, that is why we are here… to be open. To be love.

After school I travelled the world, as most Australian teenagers do, and tried very hard to not pursue my truth in music, but eventually fell into a group called Sneaky Sound System. In a nutshell we ended up having a number 1 album, toured the world, and were one of the biggest acts in the early 2000’s. But, I left that world to get a ‘real’ job, and went into real estate.
Within 4 years I had climbed my way up to the top of the industry, being awarded agent of the year by the Real Estate Institute of Australia with an average sale price of $7M. Right around that time my marriage started falling apart and so did my health. Fast forward 3 years later and I had spent most of that period essentially bed ridden with a whole host of mystery illnesses. But deep down I always knew what it was… my body was my messenger screaming at me to get back on my true path. Slowly I climbed out of this abyss and back into music. It wasn’t easy, because sometimes the one thing you want to do most is the one thing you resist doing the most.
I never really had been a singer before, and it wasn’t until 2013 when I bought a keyboard that I found my voice. I found my place in the world. I realised I had something to say, and Nick Broadhurst was born. But it was never just about me. I had this burning desire for my listeners to feel what I felt when I was writing each song. Ultimately, to reconnect with their heart. We teach what we most need to learn right, and I had muted that voice of my own heart for so long. Music was my way back.
Through this process of self discovery, I also found meditation which has become a central theme in my life. Had it not been for meditation, I would never have been able to do the work, the real work of Self with a capital S, which led to me meeting my Queen. My one. The essence of The Nick Broadhurst Show is to distill down everything I have learned over the years, and continuing to learn every day, into bite sized nuggets that you can use as a catalyst for your own growth and creation. My own journey of healing has seen me spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on just about every possible healing modality you can imagine. So many amazing teachers. So many books, retreats and countless hours of soul searching. I am the CEO of multiple 7 figure businesses. But it took many failures before it all started to click and abundance started to flow my way. All lessons I want to pass onto you.
I am a father. A son. And a husband. A recording and touring artist. A movie producer. My life is very full… in a good way. I love what I have created. I love who I have become, and now, just like I knew I had to create and share my music, I know I have to be of service to you by sharing what I have learned. Why learn so much if we don’t share?
